on sundays, i just...

a leaf fluttered in through the window this morning, as if supported by the rays of the sun, a bird settled on the fire escape, joy in the task of coffee, joy accompanied me as i walked.

All goes onward and outward... and nothing collapses, And to die is different from what any one supposed, and luckier.

Who need be afraid of the merge?
Undrape.... you are not guilty to me, nor stale nor
          discarded,
I see through the broadcloth and gingham whether
          or no,
And am around, tenacious, acquisitive, tireless.... and
          can never be shaken away.

The World Crescendo

where were you the night of the flood?
thoughts fell urgently with the effortlessness
of a ripple. Rain
sweat from clouds

Noah laughed like a sailor with his hand on his heart
the animals lept in circles.

apples fell from Eden,
split to feed the hungry and
the weak were left laughing

David changed his mind so Goliath built a dam instead
a dam that stirred the trees
changed the river's course
a dam that let men cry
carried calm to heavy laden maidens;

Magdalene sighed
and sang the Romans
to sleep
to sleep
to sleep
